NHS Fife is seeking two enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisors to join our team at Queen Margaret Hospital. These roles are vital in ensuring our patients, staff, and visitors receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

About The Roles

We are recruiting for two part‑time Band 3 Catering Supervisor positions, each working 17 hours per week.

  • Day Shift Supervisor – responsible for overseeing catering operations during daytime hours.
  • Back Shift Supervisor – responsible for managing evening catering services.

Both roles involve supervising catering assistants, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the delivery of high‑quality meals in line with NHS policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support catering staff during allocated shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Monitor food preparation and service to maintain quality standards.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen documentation.
  • Liaise with clinical staff to meet patient dietary needs.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a catering supervisory role (preferably in healthcare or similar).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
