Job summary

ARAMARK is seeking a Catering Services Worker to support the event operations team across campus locations, assisting with setup, transporting equipment and supplies, serving guests during events, and breaking down after events. • Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays depending on events.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Follow the required dress code as assigned.
• Food Handling and Alcohol Service training required; Smart Serve Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and ensure their dining needs are met throughout the event.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy with orders and accommodating any special dietary requests.
• Clear tables and clean up after events, including removing dishes, glassware, and other service items.
• Monitor guests’ needs and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service, enhancing the overall guest experience.
• Handle any additional tasks as directed by the Banquet Manager, Supervisor, or Event Coordinator.
• Set up catering and event spaces according to client requests and Banquet Event Orders.
• Deliver food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to event locations.
• Set up tables, food stations, and event equipment.
• Serve and run food and beverages efficiently using various service styles (buffet, plated, passed, family-style).
• Maintain knowledge of menus and specials to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of food service areas.
• Clear used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly and discreetly.
• Break down events, clean service areas, and return equipment to proper storage.
• Complete side work, restocking, and prep for upcoming events.
• Communicate efficiently while following event timelines and direction from supervisors and managers.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork by supporting fellow team members to create a seamless and positive event experience for guests.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

The Catering Services Worker supports the event operations team in running successful catering orders and events within a variety of campus locations. The Catering Services Worker supports and carries out event set up, transporting equipment, food, or other supplies to the event location, serving guests during the event, and breaking down/ cleaning up after the end of an event. The successful candidate provides excellent food and beverage service to patrons and guests during special events and functions. Ensures a positive dining experience by delivering timely and courteous service, adhering to event specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
