Job summary

Aramark in Canada is seeking a General Utility Worker to maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and kitchen spaces. You will join a team dedicated to service and safety, with room to grow as you launch your career.

Responsibilities include keeping the dishwashing station clean, reporting issues, and supporting custodial tasks while delivering courteous service to guests. The role may require working evenings and weekends as needed to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks

• Maintain Courteous and Professional conduct at all times with internal and external guests, staff and management
• Understanding of the basic safety, sanitation, and hygiene in regards to food and beverage handling
• Ability to read all current day function contracts and ensures all function rooms and food and beverage are to the Classic Fare Catering Standards.
• Maintaining all banquet areas and storage room are neat and tidy during and at the end of each shift
• Delivering and serving banquets of all types including breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffets, plated meals, on campus deliveries and off-site functions
• Serving meals and coffee breaks as well as clearing and bussing and maintaining a professional looking banquet area.
