Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services—Catering Operations Manager at YVR airport is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day catering and transport operations at the station, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery. Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, or aviation services.
  • Valid driver’s license (in good standing).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport, security, and regulatory clearances (e.g., TSA, FAA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal Service, RAIC).
  • Ability to operate ground service equipment (catering trucks, forklifts, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must complete all required training and certifications.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operations comply with policies, airline requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to supervisors, leads, and frontline employees.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, briefings, and engagement discussions.
  • Support development of operational forecasts, including labor and expense planning.
  • Monitor and manage Daily Labor Percentage (DLP) and revenue performance.
  • Ensure station performance meets or exceeds KPI and SLA expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
  • Oversee scheduling across all operational areas, ensuring coverage aligns with business needs and budget.
  • Lead hiring, training, and onboarding with HR.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate team members, including succession planning.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support career development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Ensure timely incident reporting (e.g., GPET).
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Ensure proper PPE use and safety standards.
  • Drive accountability for operational performance and service delivery.

SUMMARY
