Job summary

Giant Tiger Laval Buying Office is seeking a Category Assistant (Ladieswear) to support category planning, merchandising administration, and vendor coordination in a hybrid role.

You will handle assortment prep, go-to-market coordination, and documentation for product launches, working with Global Sourcing, Planning, and Business Managers to ensure accurate execution and timely store communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related retail buying experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Management or college diploma/certificate.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Great communicator, verbally and in writing; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for Ladieswear category planning, including assortment prep and calendar administration.
• Coordinate promotional and merchandising activities, including go-to-market coordination and proofing.
• Prepare product documentation and share with cross-functional partners (Global Sourcing, Planning, Business Managers).
• Prepare vendor information and product setup documentation.
• Coordinate product sample management and approvals for new launches.
• Assist with sales forecasting and maintain category data for reports.
• Manage package/return sheets and ensure timely store information completion.
