Do you have a genuine passion for looking after customers? Are you an experienced casualty claims advisor who wants to be a part of an industry leading, dynamic team? We are recruiting for a motivated and dedicated Claims Professional to join our Atlantic Casualty team to handle liability claims.

The Claims Liability Professional role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle Casualty claims in accordance with Aviva's procedures and philosophy. We have a strong focus on strategic indemnity and expense management, in addition to excellent customer service.

What You'll Do:
  • Interpret and confirm insurance coverage
  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle Casualty claims with claimants or their representatives
  • Direct and manage file investigations and if required instruct IA’s or Defense Counsel as needed
  • Ensure file reserves are timely and accurate
  • Proactively manage communication with our customers and stakeholders
  • Clearly document and summarize file activity
  • Understand and support Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines
  • Regular and proactive reviews of file strategy plans
What You'll Bring:
  • 3+ years of experience handling Casualty claims
  • University degree or equivalent
  • CIP or working towards CIP
  • Currently licensed or qualified to be licensed to handle Casualty Claims in all Atlantic Provinces
  • Bilingual French and English is a strong asset
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environmentwithin our hybrid working environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Personal and Commercial liability claims
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Genuine adaptability, flexibility and integrity
