Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
• Eligible for membership with the CSRT and BCSRT.
• Current CPR Certificate, Professional Level C.
• Certification in the Neonatal Resuscitation program.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care treatments per established standards.
• Maintain documentation of patient treatments and observations.
• Conduct cardio-respiratory physiological measurements.
• Change respiratory therapy equipment in critical care areas.
• Perform equipment quality control and minor repairs.
• Assist in educating nursing and medical staff on respiratory care.
