Job summary

Medicentres Canada Inc is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Saskatoon, Health Occupational setting. This casual, entry-level position involves greeting and registering patients, charting procedures, and assisting physicians in clinics across Saskatchewan.

You will handle minor procedures, basic diagnostic testing, and patient scheduling, while upholding our core values and privacy guidelines. Prior Med Access experience is preferred; strong communication and customer service skills are

Qualifications

• Two year diploma from an accredited institution is required.
• Current registration and in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses (Alberta).
• Minimum of one year customer service experience.
• Excellent communication, listening and problem solving skills.
• Strong computer skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and registering patients
• Initiating forms, creating billings and collecting payment for uninsured services
• Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing patients for physician
• Setting up and assisting with minor surgical procedures and pelvic examinations/IUDs
• Performing diagnostic testing as ordered by the physician
• Charting medical procedures in patient chart
• Scheduling and notifying patients of appointments
• Completing daily, weekly and monthly chore lists
• Participating in training of new medical staff
