Job summary

Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is seeking two casual Emergency Home Workers for the Emergency Home 1 in Pelican Narrows, SK. Reporting to the Emergency Home Supervisor, you will respond to children's needs and help keep them safe in placements.

Responsibilities include investigating abuse, monitoring placements, delivering family support services, and providing ongoing counseling and education to children and families. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or GED 12 required.
• CCW training or experience in Child & Family Services or related field.
• Mature, stable and leads a healthy lifestyle.
• Commitment to protecting children.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends, if required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Must have a working telephone at home.
• Knowledge of the Cree culture, language, and objectives of PBCN.
• Persons of First Nation ancestry are encouraged to apply.
• Employment will be determined based on a satisfactory police record check and child abuse registry.
