Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Rutherford, ON is hiring casual/supply/substitute staff to support classroom instruction and the well‑being of children. You will interact with kids, help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment, and collaborate with families and co‑workers.

Pay is $17.95 per hour with no evenings or weekends. Benefits include a 40% childcare discount for full‑time staff, professional development, RRSP matching for full‑time employees, sick time, holidays, and health/dental/vision/life

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification or RECE preferred.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification, or Registered Early Childhood Educator
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
