Job summary

Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) seeks Casual Early Childhood Educators for the 2026-2027 school year in the Pembroke area. The team supports kindergarten and early learning in partnership with school administration, parents, and community groups to give children a strong start in a safe, caring environment.

Positions are casual and on-call with no guaranteed hours or earnings. Applicants must hold a Two-year ECE Diploma, be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators,

Qualifications

• Two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma.
• Proof of registration and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• First Aid, CPR(C) certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a sensitive and courteous manner with children, staff, parents and community members.
• Experience in designing, preparing and implementing early learning opportunities.
• Ability to thrive and work in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Early Learning Program Team, including kindergarten teachers and ECEs, to provide a strong start in a safe, caring environment.
• Collaborate with school administration, parents and community groups as part of the learning team.

The Early Learning Program Team, which involves kindergarten teachers and early childhood educators, work in partnership with school administration, parents, other sta members and community groups to provide our children with a stronger start in a safe, caring and respectful learning environment.

Schools

• Various elementary schools
• Successful applicants are able to indicate which schools they are willing to accept assignments

Schedule

• Casual, on-call basis
• No guarantee of hours or earnings

Qualifications

• Two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma
• Proof of registration and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• First Aid, CPR(C) certification
• Ability to communicate eectively and in a sensitive and courteous manner with children, sta, parents and community members
