This posting is to garner applications for our casual on-call pool. Screening of applications will begin immediately.

The Custodial Caretaker will primarily perform custodial duties and be integral in providing event setup, event takedown, office relocations, and furniture moves during unoccupied hours of operation.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning floors, stairwells, washrooms, walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, carpets, and appliances
• Floor maintenance such as sweeping, dust mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and floor finishing
• Disinfection of washrooms, shower rooms, food service areas, and first aid rooms
• Restocking paper supplies and cleaning custodial equipment
• Assisting with emergency procedures and operating commercial cleaning equipment
• Setting up and tearing down event requirements and performing office relocations

Qualifications

• High school completion or equivalent
• Building Service Worker 1 certificate
• 1 year or more of previous experience in an institutional setting
• Knowledge of custodial equipment and chemicals
• Basic maintenance skills and ability to work with small hand tools
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and organize workload efficiently

Salary: $31.43 per hour. Location: Prince George, BC, Canada.

This job will require shift work, with a focus on night shift, and may require bonding and a criminal records check.
