Job summary

Riverstone Retirement Communities is seeking a Casual Activity Assistant for Carlingwood Retirement Community in Ottawa. The role focuses on planning, promoting and evaluating activities to engage seniors.

The incumbent will animate individual and group activities and encourage participation in activities of their choice. Qualifications include a Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services or equivalent, plus experience with seniors.

• Participate in in-service training programs.
• In collaboration with the Recreations Manager, participate in a three-month probationary evaluation and annually thereafter.
• Is aware and endeavors to respect and promote Resident Rights and Responsibilities.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the recreation department.
