Job summary

Giant Tiger in Selwyn, Ontario is seeking a friendly Cashier (Part-Time) to provide excellent service at the checkout. You will record transactions accurately at standard and self-checkout terminals, restock merchandise near the tills, and keep the area clean and organized.

The role requires good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Typical shifts include days, some evenings and weekends, with a 24-hour weekly cap for part-time staff;

Job Title: Cashier (Part-Time)

Work Schedule

A typical full-time schedule will consist of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly. A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

Physical Demands

Stand and/or walk. Bend, twist, and squat. Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.). Perform tasks involving firm grasping. Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions. Reach above shoulder height and below waist level. Operate equipment, including using a ladder.

Total Rewards

• Hourly rate: $17.60.
• Annual bonus: Store Bonus Plan, 3%.
• Profit sharing: annual bonus equal to a percentage of earnings tied to store performance.
