Job summary

Walmart Canada in Fergus, ON is seeking a Cashier to deliver friendly customer service at the checkout and support store operations. You will process transactions, promote services, assist with bagging, and maintain store safety and cash integrity.

This role starts at CAD 17.75 per hour and offers opportunities to develop retail skills. Training is provided, and you will work as part of a close-knit team in a busy grocery environment, front-end oriented with emphasis on accuracy and guest

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient way, including EAS deactivation when required.
• Promote store programs and services (credit cards, product protection, charity initiatives).
• Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Maintain register security and cash handling accuracy in line with company policies.
• Refer complex service items to a Customer Service Manager as needed.
