Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is hiring at a Toronto area location for a Customer Service Associate. You will support the checkout area, greet customers, and ensure accurate transactions while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers at the checkout.
• Keep the checkout area neat and organized and greet customers warmly.
• Accurately scan or enter product data and handle cash, coupons, and loyalty points.
• Ask for PC Optimum card at each transaction and ensure correct application of discounts.
• Follow merchandising standards for signage, facing, labeling and inventory control.
• Adhere to loss prevention standards and manage cash, lottery and stamp inventories.
• Present a professional image per Uniform Policy and maintain store health and safety standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction

MERCHANDISING

• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e., facing, signing, labeling, etc)

LOSS PREVENTION

• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory

GENERAL

• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
