Shoppers Drug Mart in Whitehorse, Yukon, is seeking a customer service oriented associate to maintain an excellent checkout area and engage warmly with every customer. You will handle cash and data entry, assist with merchandising, and ensure store policies, health and safety regulations, and housekeeping standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and greet customers warmly.
• Accurately scan or enter product data and handle cash, coupons, lottery and PC Optimum.
• Encourage customers to use PC Optimum card at checkout.
• Complete paperwork for receipts and returns; merchandise designated areas.
• Follow loss prevention standards and manage cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Present a professional image per Uniform Policy and Dress Code; comply with health, safety and store policies.
• Perform other duties as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction

MERCHANDISING:

• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e., facing, signing, labeling, etc)

LOSS PREVENTION:

• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory

GENERAL:

• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
• Perform other duties as required
