Job summary

Walmart Canada in Victoria, BC is hiring for a cashier role. You will greet customers, process transactions, and assist with bagging while ensuring a safe and clean workspace. You will promote sponsor programs, handle cash accurately, and guide customers in self-checkout.

Responsibilities include deactivating merchandise per EAS, referring items to supervisors, and maintaining awareness of surroundings to protect store assets and safety protocols.

• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
