Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Victoria is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver excellent customer service at the front end. You will process transactions accurately and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include cash handling, assisting with lottery and returns, maintaining front-end area merchandise, and helping train junior staff while upholding Sobeys standards and supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy skills required.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures.
• Operate Customer Service Desk with lottery, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries.
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise.
• Participate in training of junior staff.
• Adhere to all company standards.
• Support other departments as needed.
