Job summary

GARDENWORKS Canada is hiring a cashier for our Saanich location. You will be the key cashier and support for the Cash Operations Manager, delivering top-notch guest service and processing POS transactions efficiently.

The role requires 2+ years of cash handling and retail experience, strong teamwork, and excellent organization. We offer 24-40 hours, with wage at $18.50–$19.50 per hour and an employee discount.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cash handling/retail experience.
• Extensive knowledge of all point-of-sale transactions.
• Ability to work with a team of cashiers and store staff.

Responsibilities

• Build sales and support the GardenWorks Brand by providing outstanding service to guests.

• Keep updated on current sales and promotional items/coding.
• Communicate pricing and inventory changes to IT support.
• Assist in training the cashier team on GardenWorks programs and policies.

GARDENWORKS Saanich is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to provide top notch guest service in a timely and effective manner. Must have great people skills and work well with a team of cashiers and other store staff.

24- 40hrs, wage $18.50-19.50/hour

Overview Of The Role

• Building sales and supporting the GARDENWORKS Brand by providing outstanding service to our guests
• You will be the key cashier and main support for the Cash Operations Manager
• Keeping updated on current sales and promotional items/coding
• Communicating pricing and inventory additions, changes or errors, including items that do not scan, to our IT support team.
• Assist in training the cashier team on all GardenWorks programs and policies i.e., Green Thumb Guarantee, return policy, payment policies, related cash handling policies, rentals, etc.
• Supporting the store team at Saanich, through a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

• A passion for retail, knowledge / passion for what we do – connecting guests to nature
• 2+ years of cash handling/retail experience with an extensive knowledge of all point-of-sale transactions
• A natural collaborator and ability to identify opportunities and take initiative
• A “get things done”, positive attitude
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize meeting the demands of a busy work environment
• Must have a team outlook and be able to work well with other members of the team
