Job summary

A food service management company is hiring full-time Cashiers/Baristas in Ottawa. The role involves processing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and requires Top Secret security clearance. Candidates should have customer service and cash handling experience, strong math skills, and be able to work independently. This position is based in a government facility with daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Basic math & counting skills required.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Complete Food Handler and Alcohol Service trainings as required by location.

Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
• Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
