Job summary

RONA is seeking a friendly, dependable cashier to join our store team. You’ll greet customers, process transactions accurately, and help keep the checkout area organized.

You’ll balance end-of-shift reports, follow loss prevention and health-and-safety policies, and support other store tasks as needed. Comfort on your feet and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to resolve a variety of issues quickly and efficiently.
• Comfortable working on your feet for long periods, and occasionally outdoors.
• Experience with cash register systems an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage with customers in a courteous manner.
• Process transactions precisely and accurately.
• Keep all checkout work stations clean and uncluttered.
• Create and balance the cash report at the end of each shift.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention, health and safety policies.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
