• Process payments via cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards
• Scan items and weigh produce or bulk foods
• Calculate and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales
• Provide suggestive selling and excellent customer service
• Stock shelves and maintain cleanliness of counter area
• Greet customers and assist with wrapping or bagging merchandise
• Monitor entrances/exits and verify proof of payment when necessary
• Participate in promotional activities
• Verify customer age for lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco sales
