How You Will Make an Impact

The successful candidate will extend our mission to residential and non-residential clients through the provision of respectful and appropriate housing support services. This may include case management, crisis intervention and supportive counseling. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment.

  • Develop and maintain a caseload
  • Complete an intake and assessment on each resident
  • Design, implement, in consultation with supervisor, an interview schedule that will provide an evaluation of "quality of life" improvement of successful program participants
  • Maintain confidentiality with regards to clients/staff and Centre's records
  • To observe all Good Shepherd health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients, staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes.
What You\'ll Bring to Our Team
  • A post-secondary education in a related field is required
  • Applicants should possess a thorough knowledge of issues impacting cis women, trans and non-binary individuals including violence, abuse, mental illness, homelessness, poverty and substance use
  • Experience working in a residential setting is preferred
  • A demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity is essential
  • CPR certification (or willingness to be certified)
  • A valid Ontario driver\'s license (G2) is also an asset
  • The successful candidate will have a flexible schedule
  • Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
