Job summary

Montessori Teachers College is seeking a French speaking Casa Classroom assistant for the 2025-2026 school year in Ontario, Toronto. This full-time position is vital for nurturing the development of our students while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Ideal candidates will be fluent in French and possess either ECE certification or Montessori training. This role includes daily classroom preparation, assisting students with lessons, and supporting outdoor activities irrespective of weather conditions.

Westside Montessori School in Dufferin Grove, Toronto, is looking to hire a French speaking Casa Classroom assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. Hours are 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday, salary is $38,000.00 – CA$40,000.00 per year and includes medical and dental benefits, as well as lunch provided daily. Candidates Must

• Speak French fluently and be prepared to SPEAK ONLY FRENCH WITH STUDENTS
• Certified ECE and in good standing with CECE OR be an AMI or MACTE accredited Teacher
• Be eager to be part of a supportive team
• Have a clear vulnerable sector screening
• Have deep respect for children and their development
• Be confident and effective communicators
• Be flexible and have a sense of humour
• Understand the importance of nature and time spent outdoors
• Be prepared to spend time outside for recess in all kinds of weather
• Either have Montessori training or be open to taking Montessori training
• Either have or be prepared to take CPR/First Aid

Tasks Include, But Not Limited To

• Ensure health and safety of children at all times
• Support children within the classroom, assuring the teacher’s lessons are uninterrupted while only speaking French
• Clean & help to prepare the classroom each day
• Support the aftercare program
• Support colleagues with end of day closing and cleaning duties
