Job summary

Buildforth by Paradigm in Revelstoke is seeking an experienced Carpenter to work exclusively on the StokedLiving development. This hands-on role focuses on quality craftsmanship and the safe installation of prefab wall panels.

You will join a local Revelstoke team, four to five days per week, returning home after each shift. The position offers CAD 34.50-40.00 per hour, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the Paradigm group.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of carpentry or directly related construction experience.
• Strong framing and general carpentry skills, with confidence reading drawings and completing accurate layouts.
• Experience with prefab/panelized construction or wall-panel installation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, align, brace, fasten, and connect prefabricated wall panels in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
• Construct framing, partitions, floor and roof systems, stairs, windows, doors, exterior components, and finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, wall-panel layouts, building plans, and project specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten wood and other construction materials accurately.
• Verify layout, dimensions, openings, connections, plumb, level, and fit before and during installation.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety requirements.

CARPENTER - REVELSTOKE

Bring high-quality StokedLiving homes to life in Revelstoke - without travelling for work.

Buildforth by Paradigm is hiring an experienced Carpenter to work exclusively on the StokedLiving development in Revelstoke. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works well as part of a crew, and wants steady local project work without travelling away from home.

You will complete a broad range of carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and the installation and connection of prefabricated wall-panel systems produced within the Paradigm Group. You will help ensure panels, structural components, windows, doors, and finishes are installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with drawings and StokedLiving project requirements.

• Revelstoke-only work on the StokedLiving development - no out-of-town travel
• Four to five workdays per week, based on the project schedule (OT after 8 hours a day)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Install, align, brace, fasten, and connect prefabricated wall panels in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
• Construct and install framing, partitions, floor and roof systems, stairs, windows, doors, exterior components, and finishes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, wall-panel layouts, building plans, and project specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten wood and other construction materials accurately.
• Verify layout, dimensions, openings, connections, plumb, level, and fit before and during installation.
• Inspect materials and completed work, identify deficiencies, and complete adjustments or repairs as required.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and other construction equipment.
• Coordinate with forepersons, site supervisors, crane operators, other trades, and project teams to keep work moving efficiently.
• Support apprentices and less-experienced team members by sharing practical knowledge and safe work practices.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow company safety requirements, site procedures, and PPE standards.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Three to five years of carpentry or directly related construction experience.
• Strong framing and general carpentry skills, with confidence reading drawings and completing accurate layouts.
• Experience with prefabricated or panelized construction, wall-panel installation, crane-assisted erection, or modular building systems is an asset.
• Carpentry apprenticeship training, Red Seal, or Journeyperson Carpenter certification is an asset, but not required.
• Fall Protection and other relevant safety certifications are assets.
• Ability to safely use carpentry tools and equipment and complete the physical requirements of active site work.
• A collaborative attitude, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work four to five days per week and adapt to project schedules and changing site conditions.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
