About the Company:
Our client is an award winning architectural fabrication company. They have a portfolio of working with high end clients and are actively looking to add an experienced Carpenter to their dynamic team!
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble high-quality custom architectural elements and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand project specifications
- Operate all woodworking machinery, finishing equipment and hand and power tools
- Work with different materials including solid surfaces, epoxy, metals, melamine, solid wood and wood products
- Perform exact measurements ensuring precise installation of hardware and other elements
- Plan and execute fabrication strategies; oversee and manage junior fabricators and assistants
- Manage schedules to meet deadlines and provide consistent, regular project updates to management
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area and facilitate required repairs and maintenance to all equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Training from a relevant program such as woodworking, millwork, carpentry or cabinetmaking
- Must possess prior experience as a lead-hand or senior fabricator
- Possess a strong attention to detail and amazing problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
- Must possess an in-depth understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing/building materials
- Prior experience working with materials such as wood, solid surfaces, fabric, acrylic, glass or leather
