About the Company:

Our client is an award winning architectural fabrication company. They have a portfolio of working with high end clients and are actively looking to add an experienced Carpenter to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and assemble high-quality custom architectural elements and structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand project specifications
  • Operate all woodworking machinery, finishing equipment and hand and power tools
  • Work with different materials including solid surfaces, epoxy, metals, melamine, solid wood and wood products
  • Perform exact measurements ensuring precise installation of hardware and other elements
  • Plan and execute fabrication strategies; oversee and manage junior fabricators and assistants
  • Manage schedules to meet deadlines and provide consistent, regular project updates to management
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and facilitate required repairs and maintenance to all equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Training from a relevant program such as woodworking, millwork, carpentry or cabinetmaking
  • Must possess prior experience as a lead-hand or senior fabricator
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and amazing problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
  • Must possess an in-depth understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing/building materials
  • Prior experience working with materials such as wood, solid surfaces, fabric, acrylic, glass or leather
