Job description

We are looking for a full-time Renovation Carpenter who will be responsible for all aspects of renovations on residential and commercial losses, returning properties to pre-loss condition after being affected by flood or fire. This involves physical work, which would include but not be limited to carrying equipment and construction materials. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Framing, Insulating, Drywall, Mud/Tape, Paint, Trim

Job Type / Category

Exceptional in drywall/mud/tape and texturing

High quality finishing i.e. trim and moulding

Knowledge of woodworking tools, methods of all aspects of carpentry

Measure, cut, or shape wood and other materials using power tools

Install interior and exterior structures and fixtures, including electrical components

Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and frames

Follow safety rules and regulations

Maintain a safe and clean environment.

Ability to lift up 50 lbs

Maintain company equipment

Ensure supplies and chemicals are properly stocked

Maintain company vehicles (includes inspections, maintenance and cleanliness)

The ability to follow blueprints and building plans

Strong Problem Solving Skills

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Possess a valid Class G Ontario Drivers license with no restrictions

Able to operate company-owned vehicles

Willing to submit personal information for a criminal background check

Experience:

Renovation: 3 years (preferred)

Construction: 3 years (preferred)

Carpentry : 1 year ( preferred) Including : Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of carpentry work

  • Build and install structures such as walls, floors, roofs, windows, doors, cabinets, and stairs
  • Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
