Job summary

Alberta is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform precise layouts and measurements for construction projects in residential settings. Read blueprints, conform to building codes, and install wood components across sites in Edmonton area.

The role supports a 3-4 person crew with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and timely completion. Evening shifts may be required, and applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work.

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
