Job summary

A local construction company in Calgary is seeking candidates for a permanent full-time construction role. The successful applicant will need at least 2 years of hands-on experience and will perform various construction tasks on-site, including reading blueprints and building structures. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. The position offers competitive hourly pay of $36, working 30 to 40 hours per week. Applications are accepted until December 27, 2025.

  • Work must be completed at the physical location.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
