THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently hiring Carpenters to join our team at our shop in Abbotsford.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for the craft of carpentry with 5 years’ carpentry experience, preferably with wood processing. This is a full-time position reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Reading blueprints/shop drawings
  • Laying out, building templates, jigs, utilizing hand/shop and air tools
  • Employing best practice in fabrication
  • Framing within the prescribed tolerances in both rough/finish carpentry through to coating application
  • Rigging and loading for site installation
  • Eye for quality control/assurance and safety from start to finish
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

To be successful in this position you will be reliable, self-motivated, disciplined, take ownership for your work and have a good command of the English language.

REQUIRED:
  • 5 years' carpentry experience preferred
  • First Aid Level One, Fall Protection and WHMIS Certificates
  • Some selective project travel may be required.
SHIFT:

Day shift - 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
