Job summary

Progress Career Planning Institute (PCPI) is seeking a dynamic Employment Consultant – Retention Specialist to manage a caseload of clients and employers in the GTA. You will assess needs, develop individualized Employment Action Plans, and support job readiness through vocational advice, training and coaching.

This in-person role requires travel within the GTA. PCPI offers a salary of $50,000–$53,500 per year, plus comprehensive benefits and a 2% RRSP contribution; PCPI values diversity and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree, or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., career or employment development, social work, psychology, human services, counselling).
• Experience connecting clients to employers based on mutual needs/benefits.
• Knowledge of employment services and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to KPI targets and manage workload through prioritization and time management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with collaborators to generate referrals.
• Assess clients’ employment-related strengths, needs, and barriers.
• Develop Employment Action Plans to support clients toward sustainable employment.
• Provide pre-employment supports including vocational advice, job search training, and skill development.
• Support clients with access to community resources and referrals.
• Maintain documentation, case notes, and budgets in the Case Management System.
