Job summary

A leading in-home care provider is seeking compassionate individuals for the role of CARE Professional in London, Ontario. You will support aging adults with companionship, light housekeeping, and personal care, ensuring they maintain dignity and respect in their own homes. The position offers a flexible schedule with part-time and casual shifts. Proof of vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect.
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
• Complete a criminal background check and provide references.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle.
• Proof of Vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Remind clients about medication and appointments.
• Assist with grooming and bathing.
• Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence issues.
• Offer Alzheimer's Care, with training provided.

CARE Professional

Home Instead provides a variety of non‑medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care *Previous experience not necessary but is an asset* *Skills training and ongoing training provided by Home Instead*

Requirements To Be a CARE Professional

• Ability to treat and care for community members and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check and provide Two Professional and Two Personal References.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle. (Recommended, but not required)
• Driver’s abstract is required
• Possess a computer and a cell phone
