Alberta Health Services in the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre is seeking a Care Aide Learner enrolled in an approved Alberta Health Care Aide certificate program. Under supervision of a regulated nursing professional, you will provide personal assistance and support services within the patient care plan.
This 0.57 FTE temporary position offers shifts across days, evenings and weekends, with 7.75-hour shifts. Minimum salary: $23.62/hour, posting ends 2026-09-08, date available 2026-09-28.
The Care Aide Learner position provides an opportunity for students enrolled in an approved Alberta Health Care Aide certificate program to consolidate their knowledge and skills towards competency in the range and complexity of the Health Care Aide. As an unregulated member of the collaborative healthcare team and under the supervision of a regulated nursing professional, you will provide personal assistance such as supporting activities of daily living and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support in accordance with the patient care plan and facility policies and procedures. The activities performed, and level of supervision required are determined by legislation, standards of supervision outlined by regulatory colleges, organizational policy, educational preparation, practice setting, complexity of the patient, level of risk involved, and competency of the Care Aide Learner.
Enrolment in an approved Alberta Health Care Aide certificate program within three months of hire.
Additional Required Qualifications:High School diploma or educational equivalent, good English language skills, ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
