Qualifications

• Completion of certificate from an accredited school of Cardiology Technology.
• Active or eligible registration with the Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologist (ASRCT).
• Active or eligible registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Physical demands include standing for extended periods in lead attire, pushing and pulling over 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for non-invasive cardiac testing to investigate abnormalities.
• Explain procedures and educate patients on equipment function.
• Analyze test results and generate reports for physician interpretation.
• Provide expertise in the set-up, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Precept, orient new staff and students.
