Job summary

Jim Pattison Toyota Duncan in Duncan, BC is seeking a reliable Car Wash Attendant to support the Service team by cleaning vehicles inside and out and ensuring a great customer experience.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role requires a BC driver’s license, a strong focus on safety and confidentiality, and a friendly customer-service mindset. Training and growth opportunities are available within the dealership.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required.
• Experience in automotive industry is a strong asset.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions preferred.
• Strong customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of customer vehicles, exterior wash and interior cleaning.
• Maneuver and relocate guest vehicles with care.
• Report any vehicle or property issues promptly.
• Safely use cleaning tools and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Support a positive, collaborative team environment.

Introduction

Jim Pattison Toyota Duncan is looking for a reliable, well-organized, and high-energy Car Wash Attendant to support our dealership team. Working alongside our Service department, you'll help make sure every vehicle looks its best when it's handed back to our customers.

You’ll bring a careful eye for detail and real pride in your work, helping create a great customer experience that reflects our dedication to the people we serve. This position is a perfect entry point into the automotive industry, with plenty of room to grow and build your career.

Schedule: Full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week.

Pay: $19 per hour

Reports to: Service Manager

A Day in the Life

• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of our customer vehicles, including exterior washing and interior cleaning
• Maneuver, arrange, and relocate guest vehicles with care
• Ensure any potential issues with vehicles or the dealership property are promptly reported
• Safe use of tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies
• Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information
• Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract report
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is considered a strong asset
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions is preferred
• Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• This is a physically active role and requires the following:
  • Frequent walking throughout the dealership building and lot
  • Walking and/or standing for long periods
  • Frequent operation of automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Washing vehicles, which may include use of various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
  • Significant time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed
