Job summary

Fogo Island Inn is seeking a Car Detailer to ensure clean, welcoming environments for guests and staff. You will clean and refuel Inn vehicles, log usage, and assist with Guest Services as needed, contributing to a premium guest experience on Fogo Island.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning all Inn vehicles inside/out and refueling vehicles.
• Entering the info onto the sheets/forms provided and keeping an eye to when the vehicles need to have service such as an oil change.
• Signing in/out vehicles for different Guest Services use.
• Other duties can be incorporated when they are not busy such as shuttling or moving vehicles to other areas as requested.
• Also responsible for maintaining the supplies needed for cleaning the vehicles.

A member of Relais & Châteaux with Three MICHELIN Keys, Fogo Island Inn is a 29-room luxury hotel, built on principles of sustainability and respect for nature and culture. The Inn is a community asset, owned by the charity Shorefast , and 100 percent of operating surpluses are reinvested into Shorefast’s work to secure a resilient future for Fogo Island.

The mission of Shorefast is to build, learn, and share economic development practices that catalyse the assets of local places, starting with Fogo Island.

As Car Detailer, you are motivated and eager to ensure a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. You are passionate about cleaning and are detail oriented. You possess a strong work-ethic and can work well independently and as part of a team.
