Job summary

A Canadian airline is seeking a Dash 8-100 Captain responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft. The candidate must hold a Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License, have at least 3000 total flight hours, and be fluent in English. JOB SCOPE

As a pilot flying for Pivot Airlines, the Dash 8-100 Captain (DHC-8) is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft while providing customer service and giving on-time performance due consideration. The DHC-8 Captain supervises other crew members and has primary responsibility for the flight. The DHC-8 Captain reports to the Chief Pilot.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft;
  • Ensure all pre-flight, inflight and post-flight duties are completed safely consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure that all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures; and
  • Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 3000 hours Total Time;
  • 500 hours Turboprop Time;
  • Must hold Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL);
  • Must hold Transport Canada Category I Medical Certificate;
  • Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance;
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada;
  • Able to operate Company aircraft domestically, trans-border and internationally without restriction;
  • Aviation Diploma/Degree an asset;
  • Must be fluent in English language;
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills;
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Flexible and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends;
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
Restrictions

Restrictions: Must hold Transport Canada Licence, Medical. Must have legal right to live/work in Canada. No Foreign Pilot Visas or Sponsorships.
