We are looking for awesome Cantonese-Speaking Personal Support Workers to work in Toronto with a client in Toronto.

  • The client is looking for daily care 4-5 hours of care per day. Must have weekday AND weekend availability
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
  • Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home).
  • Prepare meals in accordance to the client and / or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
  • Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
  • Assists clients in all activities of daily living / hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.
  • Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
  • Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
  • Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.
  • Completes records and documents accurately and thoroughly.
Schedule
  • Client is looking for care on any day of the week, as much as possible. Please state your availability in your application.
  • Client is looking for someone who will be with them long-term and can provide consistent care and communicate in Cantonese.
Requirements
  • An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
  • Negative TB Test completed within the last year
  • Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing / doctorate Certification
  • Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
  • COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
  • Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and must be able to speak Korean to communicate with client.
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
