Job description

Our Canine Medicine department are looking to recruit two registered veterinary nurses;

  • One part-time RVN (20hours/week)
  • One full-time, fixed-term RVN (40 hours/week) - maternity leave cover position starting January 2026

The successful candidates will join a friendly team of nurses and animal care assistants who are passionate in providing gold standard care to our patients. Our varied caseload involves nursing patients from a selection of the hospital departments including chronic and acute medicine, oncology, and cardiology.

As a medicine department we carry out a variety of investigations which includes endoscopy. We have an extensive range of scopes and imaging facilities, which the candidate will receive full training on to allow support of the clinicians with their workups.

We are a busy department, so the ideal candidate will work well under pressure, manage their time effectively, and work independently when required. A minimum of one year’s experience as an RVN is essential.

You will be involved with teaching and supervision of Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates on clinical rotations, so a certain level of confidence is required to be able to instruct and support them, as necessary.
