BDO's Toronto office seeks an experienced Manager in Canadian Tax Services to lead domestic tax engagements for personal, corporate, partnership, and trust returns. You will review complex tax filings, perform research, and interact with tax authorities, while guiding the team to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires CPA designation or near completion, 3–5 years in public accounting with Canadian tax specialization, and familiarity with CCPCs and founder-led growth.

Qualifications

• You have three-five years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in Canadian tax.
• Familiarity with CCPCs and founder-led high-growth companies.
• Strong teamwork, client service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal, corporate, partnership, and trust income tax returns and related forms (e.g., T106, T1134, T1135).
• Research tax issues and prepare memoranda or client letters.
• Engage with tax authorities on income tax audits and appeals.
• Develop and implement strategies to capitalize on tax opportunities for clients.
• Document tax filing positions and perform risk analysis.
• Prepare and review income tax provisions under IFRS/US GAAP/ASPE.
• Manage multiple tax engagements and mentor junior staff.
