About the role :

As a Security Specialist - Canada you will be responsible for the development and oversight of Westinghouse Global Security programmes across Westinghouse Canada sites. You will be the contact for local site management, customer representatives, and the liaison between the Canadian business units and Westinghouse Global Security & Real Estate.

You will report to the Manager, Global Security and be located at our Peterborough, Ontario location. You will work a hybrid schedule of up to 3 days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities :

Programme administrator for several Canadian federal and provincial security clearance programmes, and primary contact for Canadian nuclear site access programmes. To include Bruce Power, OPG, CNL, New Brunswick and others as applicable.

Ensure that all programmatic standards are defined and maintained to achieve compliance with regulatory directives, company and local policies.

Development and administration of new and current Westinghouse Global Security policies, procedures and programmes across all Westinghouse Canada sites following government and regulatory standards.

Ensure daily administration of physical security and access control standards and systems.

Conduct self‑assessments and observations to determine the ongoing effectiveness of programme processes and to identify areas for improvement.

Interfaces frequently with project, client and functional management and provides required and notifications.

Local liaison for federal, provincial, and local law enforcement and emergency service agencies.

Qualifications :

5 years of security or related experience that includes leadership experience in relevant areas.

Bachelor's Degree in security or related discipline, or combination of equivalent experience and education.
