This Toronto based position is an opportunity to work in Business Management unit, supporting the Payments organization. Business Management optimizes business performance by helping to drive key initiatives through ongoing reporting and strategic alignment. We act as trusted advisors and counterweights to Business/Group Heads, and are responsible for driving the strategic agenda of the business.
Role Expectations
- Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives, or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance), with a focus on establishing governance frameworks and building out long-term strategic plans.
- Build business cases and slide decks in support of Product strategy and Product Management needs – notably in support of Product initiatives, investments, and system developments
- Support the business unit to coordinate, track and report on product delivery investments/budgets.
- Optimize 'bottom line' business performance by driving key initiatives (fees, cost base) and ensuring alignment with the long-term strategic vision.
- Ensure ongoing reporting of country and business financials, expenses and resource requirements
- Analyze and report on revenue drivers and trends for Treasury Services & Payments Products
- Support on budget round process for a 3-year outlook, appropriately challenging assumptions and proactively identifying opportunities and risks throughout the financial cycle
- Identify, upscale, and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business, such as legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, and extraordinary transaction costs, with a focus on governance and strategic risk management.
- Represent the Business in internal working groups, contributing to governance discussions and strategic planning efforts.
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests, ensuring alignment with governance standards and long-term strategic goals.

- Knowledge of the Canada Payments industry and products preferred
