Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp is hiring a Stockperson / Cartpusher at our Val-d'Or location to maintain a safe, organized shopping environment. You will collect carts from corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter, returning them to designated storage areas while following approved procedures.

You will support store operations with friendly customer service, assist with carry outs and receipts as required, perform janitorial tasks when needed, and strictly follow safety guidelines to protect

• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties (restrooms as needed); follow chemical handling and disposal rules; inspect equipment before use.
• Follow safety and emergency protocols (hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, bloodborne pathogens); maintain a safe workplace.
• Wear PPE including steel-toe boots and reflective vest; conduct safety sweeps and adhere to company policies.

Position Summary

As a Stockperson / Cartpusher, you play an important role in creating a safe, organized, and welcoming shopping experience for customers. You are responsible for collecting shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter and returning them to designated storage locations using approved procedures. Through friendly customer interactions and a strong focus on safety, this role supports smooth store operations while building valuable skills in retail, teamwork, and customer service.

What you'll do

• Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter, and return them safely to designated storage areas using Walmart approved procedures. Ensure required logs are completed accurately.


• Respond promptly to requests from all registers and Customer Service, including assisting customers with carry outs and carry ins and verifying receipts for proof of purchase when required.


• Perform occasional cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, while following established guidelines for chemical handling, proper disposal procedures, and safe use of power equipment. Complete required equipment inspections before use.


• Adhere to all safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines, to maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.


• Use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest, complete safety sweeps as required, and follow Company policies and procedures to support a clean, safe workplace.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
