Position Summary

What you’ll do

1. Assist in customer service through the collection of shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot and store perimeter and return them to a safe storage location using Walmart‑approved procedures and ensure necessary logs are completed.
2. Respond promptly to requests at all registers and safely assist customers with carry‑outs or carry‑ins and verify receipts for proof of purchase.
3. Follow established guidelines for occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, handling chemicals, and following correct disposal procedures and the use of power equipment including inspection report completion before use.
4. Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, ensuring guidelines are followed properly for hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood‑borne pathogens.
5. Maintain the Cart Retrieval Log at the Customer Service Desk.
6. Contribute to a safe, clean and hazard‑free work environment through adherence to company policy and procedures.
7. Promote safety by using personal protective equipment, wearing steel‑toe footwear and the proper reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
8. Complete safety sweeps as required.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.25. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
