Job summary

Walmart Canada in Leamington, ON is hiring a Stockperson / Cartpusher to collect shopping carts from corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter and return them to storage areas using Walmart procedures. You will assist customers with carry outs/ins and verify receipts when needed.

You will also perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and support a fast-paced store operations team with flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and store perimeter, returning them to designated storage areas using Walmart procedures.
• Assist customers with carry outs and carry ins; verify receipts when required.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including restrooms, following chemical handling and disposal guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines.
• Use required PPE (steel-toe footwear and reflective vest) and complete safety sweeps as needed.
• Be flexible with shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Contribute to high-volume restocking and recovery efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You are responsible for collecting shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter and returning them to designated storage locations using approved procedures. Ensure required logs are completed accurately.Respond to Customer and Store NeedsRespond promptly to requests from all registers and Customer Service, including assisting customers with carry outs and carry ins and verifying receipts for proof of purchase when required.Maintain Clean Facilities and EquipmentPerform occasional cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, while following established guidelines for chemical handling, proper disposal procedures, and safe use of power equipment. Complete required equipment inspections before use.Follow Safety Standards and ProceduresAdhere to all safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines, to maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.Promote a Safe and Hazard Free Work EnvironmentUse required personal protective equipment, including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest, complete safety sweeps as required, and follow Company policies and procedures to support a clean, safe workplace.Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) • Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
