Job summary

Walmart Canada in Airdrie, AB is seeking a Stockperson / Cartpusher to keep carts flowing and the store looking welcoming. You will collect carts from corrals, parking lot and perimeter, return them using approved procedures, and help with receipts verification when needed.

You will assist customers and fellow associates, perform light cleaning and equipment checks, and follow safety protocols. The role requires flexibility and physical stamina, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 or older per minimum qualifications.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lot and store perimeter and return them to storage using approved procedures.
• Respond to customer and store needs, assist with carry outs and carry ins, verify receipts when required.
• Maintain clean facilities and equipment, including restrooms, and perform required inspections before use.
• Follow safety and emergency protocols, use PPE, and participate in safety sweeps.

You are responsible for collecting shopping carts from cart corrals, the parking lot, and the store perimeter and returning them to designated storage locations using approved procedures. Ensure required logs are completed accurately.Respond to Customer and Store NeedsRespond promptly to requests from all registers and Customer Service, including assisting customers with carry outs and carry ins and verifying receipts for proof of purchase when required.Maintain Clean Facilities and EquipmentPerform occasional cleaning and maintenance duties, including restrooms, while following established guidelines for chemical handling, proper disposal procedures, and safe use of power equipment. Complete required equipment inspections before use.Follow Safety Standards and ProceduresAdhere to all safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines, to maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.Promote a Safe and Hazard Free Work EnvironmentUse required personal protective equipment, including steel toe footwear and a reflective vest, complete safety sweeps as required, and follow Company policies and procedures to support a clean, safe workplace.Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) • Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
