Job summary

Walmar in Ottawa is seeking a Goods Associate to support stocking activities and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will greet customers, help locate merchandise, ensure stock integrity, and maintain clean, safe backroom and sales floor conditions. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety policies while supporting stock unloading and product availability.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Reviewing workload for assigned area(s) of the store
• Accurately signing merchandise
• Maintaining modular integrity and shelf capacity errors
• Working merchandise and CAP/VizPicking bins to support the Customer Availability Process
• Ensuring proper fixtures, supplies and tools are used to complete necessary tasks
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
• Prepare backroom for stock unloading process.
