Job summary

Walmart Canada in Summerside, PEI is seeking a Stock Unloader Associate to unload trailers, process merchandise, and move pallets to the sales floor. You will help maintain a safe, clean workspace and assist customers to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Role requires physical tasks, eligibility from age 16+, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position starts at a minimum hourly rate of 17.45 CAD and offers active involvement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and Unloading Merchandise: Prepares and resets the Receiving Area and unloads general merchandise trailers.
• Handle and Move Merchandise Safely: Maintains cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and pulls pallets to the sales floor for overnight processing.
• Stocking and Customer Support: Assists with stocking the sales floor as assigned and provides customer service when needed to support a positive shopping experience.
• Overstock Organization: Labels and places overstock merchandise in designated areas to support efficient inventory management.
• Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Follows Company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free workplace.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

What You'll Do

Receiving and Unloading Merchandise

• Prepares and resets the Receiving Area and unloads general merchandise trailers, including completing live unloading of remaining merchandise.

Handle and Move Merchandise Safely

• Maintains cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and pulls pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.

Stocking and Customer Support

• Assists with stocking the sales floor as assigned and provides customer service when needed to support a positive shopping experience.

Overstock Organization Labels and places overstock merchandise in designated areas to support efficient inventory management.

Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment

• Follows Company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free workplace, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
