Job summary

Walmart Canada in Coquitlam is seeking a Stock Unloader Associate to unload trailers, process merchandise, and move pallets to the sales floor while keeping a safe, clean workspace. You will support a positive customer experience and help ensure shelves are ready for shoppers.

This role offers an active, fast-paced environment with varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of CAD 18.40, with opportunities to grow within the retail

Responsibilities

• Receiving and Unloading Merchandise: Prepares and resets the Receiving Area and unloads general merchandise trailers, including completing live unloading of remaining merchandise.
• Handle and Move Merchandise Safely: Maintains cold chain standards for refrigerated and frozen products and pulls pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
• Stocking and Customer Support: Assists with stocking the sales floor as assigned and provides customer service when needed to support a positive shopping experience.
• Overstock Organization: Labels and places overstock merchandise in designated areas to support efficient inventory management.
• Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Follows Company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free workplace, including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runssmoothlyand customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
• Potential Challenges in this role: High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment; Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.; Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift.; Handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
